I was drawn to the quiet beauty of the scene—the aged stone, delicate ornamentation, and the contrast between the monumental sculpture and the entrance beneath it. After photographing the detail, I returned to it through watercolor, using soft washes and subtle earthy tones to preserve the atmosphere and texture of Parisian architecture.
